PARK SLOPE CIVIC COUNCIL’S
ART SLOPE ’19 – SHORTS IN THE SLOPE
A FILM EVENT
April 6-7, 2019
Berkeley Carroll School Marlene Clary Performance Space, 152 Sterling Place, Brooklyn NY
The Park Slope Civic Council is pleased to announce the upcoming Art Slope '19 - Shorts in the Slope film festival - to be held again at the Berkeley Carroll School's State of the Art Performance Space on April 6 and 7th.
Come join us for two days of incredible short films from Brooklyn and around the world - in four separate screenings. This year we're also pleased to hold our inaugural youth film festival - which will feature short films made by kids from ages 7-18 - as well as films that are kid themed.
Right after the first day's screenings, we'll be hosting a reception and filmmaker meet and greet in the theater lobby. And we are pleased to again be holding our festival after party and awards ceremony at Gowanus' own celebrated Shapeshifter Lab following the last screening on Sunday evening!
Filmmakers - please submit your films for our consideration on the FilmFreeway link below - but hurry - our deadline is March 20th!
And film enthusiasts - please click here to get tickets!

The Art Slope ’19 – Shorts in the Slope film festival will feature four screenings of short films from around the world, including many from Brooklyn. Film submissions are being accepted through March 20 at FilmFreeway. We are excited to announce that this year we will be hosting our first Youth Film Segment. Filmmakers from ages 7 to 13 and 14 to 18 are invited to submit short works. We have received over 80 submissions so far in all categories, representing diverse filmmakers and subject matter. There will be networking opportunities following all screenings for our filmmakers in attendance and a ticketed awards ceremony and after-party following the last Sunday evening screening, at Shapeshifter Lab in nearby Gowanus. All awardees will be presented with a [unique artist-crafted] trophy and a cash prize[ monetary award].
